Privacy Policy

When you use Rekol, we collect information you provide directly, including your name and email address when you create an account via Google Sign-In. We also collect the content you upload — item photographs, descriptions, specifications, and exhibition data — which is stored securely in your personal collection.

We automatically collect certain usage information such as app version and crash reports to help us improve the service.

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the Rekol service. We use your account information to authenticate you, store your collection securely, and enable sharing features. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Crash reports and usage analytics are used exclusively to diagnose issues and improve app performance.

All items and exhibitions you create are private by default. When you choose to share an item or exhibition, a public link is generated that allows anyone with the link to view that content. You can revoke sharing at any time by marking the item or exhibition as private within the app.

Photos stored in Rekol are uploaded to Firebase Storage and are accessible only through your account, unless you explicitly share them.

Your data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Rekol uses the following third-party services: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage), Google Crashlytics (crash reporting). Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
